Stories @ TCAT

Boy Scout Troop 694 from Cincinnati, Ohio attended the races at Bristol Motor Speedway this past weekend. Before the green flag dropped, they earned their automotive maintenance merit badge at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Elizabethton.

Scouts also learned how to use an engine diagnostic meter in the NC3 lab at TCAT Elizabethton.

Collette said TCAT Elizabethton was chosen because both automotive and diesel training programs are ASE certified and the college was located close to the Bristol track.

TCAT instructors Tim Ward and Jacky Livingston also briefed the scouts on their respective training programs.

The scouts began their 312 mile journey back to Cincinnati on Sunday.
