HVAC students at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton applied their training skills at Elizabethton High School recently when they installed a complete heating and air conditioning system package in the women’s indoor softball training facility.
The students who did the work, pictured from left, front row, are Cody Lyons, Dylan Anderson, Tyler Merendino, Derek Stanley, Ricky Ellison and Josh Shivers; back row, Zach Brillhart, Denny Poole, Johnny Nelson, Mason Hess, Ben Livingston and instructor Doug Street. EHS Softball Coach Kenny Hardin said the TCAT students did a ”tremendous” job installing duct work, heat pumps and wiring the system to provide heat and air conditioning to the locker rooms, batting cages, and offices in the building that was constructed with donations. TCAT live work is provided as part of technical training for students.
