Practical Nursing Most Popular Program

Graduation exercises for 333 students at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton will be held at 7 pm. Thursday, Aug. 2, in Seeger Chapel at Milligan College, announced TCAT Elizabethton President Dean Blevins.

In the 2018 graduation class are 306 students who enrolled in full-time training programs that may be completed in 12 to 20 months. Among them were 134 students who majored in Practical Nursing,

41 in Welding, 25 in Electricity-Electronics, 19 in Automotive Technology, 16 in Administrative Office Technology, 15 in Pipefitting, 13 in Millwright Skills,  13 in Diesel Powered Equipment Technology, 11 in Machine Tool Technology, 10 in Computer Information Technology, and nine in HVAC/Refrigeration,

Another 27 students who live in 20 cities and towns in five states will receive certificates of completion in the online Dietary Manager Training Program. The program, which may be completed in eight months, prepares students for the national credentialing exam to become a Certified Dietary Manager

Among graduates of full-time training programs, 97 are from Carter County, 86 from Washington County, 64 from Sullivan County, 20 from Unicoi County, 12 from Johnson County, 14 from Hawkins County, five from Greene County, seven from North Carolina, and one from Virginia.
