Nursing students at Boones Creek enjoyed going through dementia simulation. They had popcorn kernels in their shoes, gloves and taped up hands, glasses that simulate cataracts, and headphones that simulate hearing loss and over stimulation. They were then asked to go into a room and complete tasks such as folding clothes, setting a table, and writing a letter. This is a great experience as it allows students to see and feel what their patients may feel.
