The Phlebotomy Technician Certificate program includes theory and hands-on instruction over a trimester period. This course is designed for individuals who are interested in starting a career in the medical field, prospective patient care technicians, current nurses, or for individuals who desire to enhance personal skills. This is a comprehensive 432-hour course, including labs. This certificate program will assist students in preparing for the Phlebotomy Certification Exam. Prerequisites include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR for the Health Care Provider Certification, and liability insurance. Students must be at least 18 years of age.
