Last week, our 1st Term LPN students participated in a Dementia Simulation. The goal of this simulation was to expose our students to the barriers our patients and loved ones face when diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Props were used to alter the students' senses, then they were given a list of tasks to attempt to complete with those barriers in place.
We thank Tracey Kendall-Wilson, Regional Director for Alzheimer's Tennessee, and all of the outreach affiliates that made this experience available to our students!
