State Representative Timothy Hill, chairman of the House Republican Caucus in the Tennessee House of Representatives, is pictured with Dalton Rogers, diesel student from Bristol, at a "Welcome Back" event held at TCAT's Main Campus, recently.

At the event, TCAT students had the opportunity to discuss with local and state government officials employment opportunities available to them when they graduate from TCAT Elizabethton.

Students were also encouraged to complete their job training in brief remarks presented by State Representatives Hill and John Holsclaw, Jr. and Carter County Mayor Leon Humphrey. TCAT Director Dean Blevins was moderator for the event.

Hill said TCAT graduates were driving the economy. Holsclaw said technical education is resulting in Tennessee being number one in job growth.  Humphrey said TCAT Elizabethton was the crown jewel in in the region and complimented students, faculty, staff and administration for the job they were doing.
